SIERRA BELVIN
Reed Point, MT
Bridger Mountain High School Rodeo Team; Montana High School Rodeo Association
Events: Barrel Racing, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Goat Tying, Pole Bending, Miss Montana High School Rodeo 2017-19
Favorite Event & Why: Breakaway Roping, I love the fact that you get to see your hard work pay off first hand when your loop lands over the calf’s shoulders. That is the most rewarding feeling in the world.
Favorite accomplishment: Getting crowned Miss Montana High School Rodeo at the Montana High School Rodeo State Finals in Baker, Montana in June of 2017. Plus getting to represent for two years in a row? Unforgettable!
Goals in rodeo: I hope to make the National Finals Rodeo 2019 in my top two events, breakaway and goat tying.
Hobbies outside arena: I devote majority of my time to focusing on my education. I am currently maintaining a GPA of 4.0, and will hopefully graduate valedictorian of my class. I spend a lot of time preparing myself for my college career which will include obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Pre- Med and continuing more education into Orthopedic Surgery. I am a model for Montana Silversmiths and other western clothing boutiques, such as Short Go Clothing. I enjoy playing basketball, skiing, hiking, fishing, and spending time with my friends and family, donating any extra time to charity events and volunteering, and teaching people of all ages how to ride horses.
Interesting fact about yourself: I’m half Mexican and can speak Spanish.
